Uninstalled and reinstalled the application...
Whitelisted everything as mentioned in this document: https://help.dropbox.com/security/official-domains
Still says: Reconnecting to the Interne...

The problem was resolved for a time but it's back. I've been using my computer for the past hour and Dropbox is still "reconnecting to the internet." Had to restart Dropbox to get it working.

Yup, it's continuing again. Seems whenever I wake my computer from sleep, Dropbox has the "reconnecting to the internet" problem.

Since the root cause of this issue was addressed, the error message you're receiving is happening for a different reason. If you're still getting this error message, would you mind if we reached out to you via email?

Sorry for the late response, but yes, this issue keeps happening. It stopped for a while, and now it's back whenever I restart my computer or wake it from sleep. Yes, please reach out to me via email.
