Moving Dropbox app to external hard drive when I am not the administrator of the account.

First, I am not the admin of my firm's dropbox account so I cannot get to preferences. I downloaded the dropbox desktop app and now have EVERYTHING on the account on my C drive and now my C drive is full. Without having admin abilities, how can I unsync certain files?

You can use Selective Sync to remove the local copy of the folders you specify.

I have said this several times now ... I am NOT the admin and I cannot get to preferences.

You don't need to be the team admin to change your own Selective Sync settings. There are team Selective Sync options that the admin can set, but your preferences in the local Dropbox application actually override those set by the admin.
