Dropbox automatically logs out on iPad and iPhone
Hello, I have a really strange issue on my iPad and iPhone since a few days ago. Not sure when it started, but there was no iPadOS / iOS update etc. as far as I know involved.
- log into the Dropbox app on the ipad
- enter a markdown editing application
- navigate to a file
- edit it
- try to exit it (and hence save it) and get an error
- go back to the Dropbox app and get the message dialog „Signed out - email@domain has been signed out from this iPad - [OK]“
- rinse and repeat, same result
Weird thing is that whenever I re-login to the Dropbox it gives me some of the usual new user upgrade options, camera upload turn on option, etc. I‘ve tried with two different accounts, one brand new, one a few years old. Same on both. Any help welcome.
I have deleted and reinstalled the app, rebooted, cleared cache, no change.

Now everything seems to be working properly. Thank you for your help . - autologoutExplorer | Level 4
Running iOS 17.3 on both iPad and iPhone. Updating to 362.7 (from .5) seems to have solved it, will test more in the next day. Thanks!

Hei
I'm having an issue with the dropbox app on iOS constantly logging out. I checked on iPhone and iPad, on different networks and browsers. Both devices are updated. The problem is that when I add a file as an attachment via a browser, e.g. Safari, everything works fine, but when I try to add another file, the dropbox is logged out and I have to log in to the application again. Such a situation has never happened before and I have been attaching many files for over a year.

Hi Goodkat, thanks for contacting us!
If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?
Let me know how it goes!

More info… basic subscription, plenty of space on the devices and the Dropbox, only 2 devices connected so not hitting the limit there either. Running version 362.5, updated 2 days ago. That could correlate to when this started. The version before was 362.3 on both iPad and iPhone and worked fine.

Hi autologout, thanks for messaging the Community!
What version of iOS are you currently running on your device?
This will help me to assist further!
