Storage data is glitching, saying I have way more than I actually have
Storage data is saying I have wayyy more than what I actually have. I have deleted a bunch of stuff and it's barely gone down.. I also removed myself from any shared folders/files. I had under 5 gig...

wow... thank you. I was literally about to give up on it. I didn't even know there was a separate "back up" page... I'm guessing when I accepted this random free trial from Dropbox about a month ago it automatically synced up to my 5TB external HD.. Deleted the backup folder and my storage is freed up.

Hey photobeth, I'm not really sure you're having the same issue as SharkWithLegs here.
When you say that it says you have only approx. 80 GB left, is it possible it's referring to hard drive space instead of Dropbox space?
If you can reply with a screenshot of the error message, I should be able to give you more info.

I was going to come on here to say that but am still changing my settings on all my devices to access online only. So my issue has been solved. Appreciate your help. -Beth
