Why does the Uppercase Letters of my file name change to lower case
I know this has been posted before and appaerently closed without resolution but here it is again. I have users that use Dropbox via the dropbox app on a server that we are using as a file share. And...

Well as I said it is a file share on a server that has the app installed. They see the names via they file explorer on there machines that have the file shared mapped. They do not have the app as it is on the server. So this is the problem and they use windows 10 and the file share is on a Windows sever 2012 r2. So is that enough info to go from and yes when you look via the webpage the file names are still changed and in lower case.

At first, please bear in mind that, although Dropbox supports case-sensitive file names, Windows and (default) Mac OS don't. While it may appear that you can have mixed case file names, they both don't at the file system level. For example, you cannot have two files named "temp" and "TEMP" in the same folder.
For this reason, there is no event that Dropbox can send to a Windows or Mac client that says "rename temp to TEMP" because that's not possible. However, this will work on Linux, and specially configured Mac OS, because they support mixed case.
What you can do as a work-around to this is rename the file twice, like in this example:
- rename "temp" to "tmp"
- rename "tmp" to "TEMP"
Once this is done, you should be able to see the new name with the proper case. This should work on both the desktop app and website.
Having said that, since you mention that you’re running the desktop app on a Server, I just wanted to note that Windows Server OSs are not currently supported (as you can find in this article which OSs we support here and more info about hosting the desktop app on a server here).
