Sharing Dropbox link from file explorer, recipients can't access
Hi
Ive recently changed dropbox accounts and it was working well beforehand.
I have a drop box folder with building plans etc. I go into dropbox via windows file explorer and usually right click the folder and select 'copy dropbox link'.
I then revert back to my email and add who I want to send the link to and paste dropbox link. This works well via my desktop and mobile app.
However the people I have been sending it to cant access or open for some reason.
Ive tried 'sharing' the folder but it appears the recipients need to download dropbox to access.
Im on business plus plan
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Hey MRG Property - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Are you sharing the link with view-only or edit rights in the first place?
When you say that the people you're sending the link to are having issues with opening it, could you clarify if they're getting any particular error?
If so, I'd appreciate a screenshot too.
Also, are these people members of your team or do they have their own, individual Dropbox accounts?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

I believe view only rights.
These people are not members of the team and most do not have their own dropbox accounts.
I recently changed from a personal account to a business plus account. Previous it would work but now doesnt. It seems people have to download dropbox.

In that case, your collaborators should be able to by-pass the prompt to download the Dropbox app, Rory. Could you send us a screenshot of the message or the last screen they can get to?
