Shared folder recipient's email appears in yellow and invite is not sent
I enter a recipient's email address and it is yellowed out as if to indicate that it not good. When I hit send, the system shows sending, but the recipient does not show up as a member of the folder, nor do they receive the link

Hi there, Alan B.16, thanks for reaching out to us.
Do you currently have an individual or a team Dropbox account?
What about your recipient? Do they have an individual account?
And if they take a look at their "shared" page, do they perhaps see the folder there?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hi Hannah,
Thanks for this reply. I am experiencing the same issue. Do I understand from your response that anyone whose email is in yellow field needs to have a dropbox account under that email address to be able to share the folder? Thanks. Jeff

Hello! Your receiver does not need to have a Dropbox account to share with them. Dropbox will notify them via email.
In this case, to respect the security controls you've set, they will need to create an account before viewing the content and joining the folder. After joining, they should display on your side as a member of the folder.
I suspect the email address appears yellow due to the recipient not being on your team.
