Two Dropbox folders appearing in favorites Mac. Not sure how to proceed.
I was having trouble with my Dropbox going into an 'Indexing' spiral. So after reading troubleshooting for this issue I logged out of Dropbox on desktop and logged back in again.

Sorted! (With some trepidation) I deleted the old 'unlinked' file, and this did the trick – the new file now has Dropbox symbol next to it and all right click Dropbox functions. Thank you for your help.

Based on everything you mentioned, you should be safe to delete the old Dropbox folder, and keep the new one.
It seems the app is syncing there. Have you tried signing out of the app,restarting your device and then sign back in?
