Cannot add Dropbox to Favorites or Locations on MacBook Pro
Hi
I have tried all the suggestions for adding Dropbox to either Favorites or Locations on my sidebar and nothing works. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it but it wont let me indicating it is open, which it is not. I have installed the desktop app again hoping a newer version or update would help. Nothing works. 😞
Hi ay98182, let's jump right into this!
In general, someone would receive this message when going over their daily bandwidth limits for their Dropbox account and plan.
It sounds like in your case, your client might have exceeded their sharing limits and their links have been temporarily banned.
This message isn't related to the quota amount on the account, but the daily limits when using shared content. It could also be related to the type of content they share.
They'd need to contact Support, in order to see what can be done about it, and for our Team to remove the ban.
If you have any questions, let me know!

Hi Hannah! The download indicated Dropbox for macOS, not sure what the File Provider version is. The app is located in my Applications folder in sidebar Favorites.

Thanks, CMAKEUP.
If you open your Dropbox application preferences and go to the 'sync' tab, is the Dropbox folder in ~/Library/CloudStorage?
