Unknown folder appearing: "Migrated Paper Docs"

I recently discovered that a new folder has appeared in my main folder.

The folder is called "Migrated Paper Docs". It contains a Dropbox Paper-document called "_Brainstorm_ What's your topic_ (Previously deleted)" and a folder called "Sample Docs". That folder contains a Dropbox Paper-document called "_ Get started with Dropbox Paper"

The folder and it's contents seem to have been created 2024-10-30 except the "Get started..." document, which seems to be from 2017.

I don't seem to have any documents in Dropbox Paper when I log in there.

I can see the folder and it's content on all my devices and on dropbox.com, but all my other files have a green check mark, while this folder has a gray circle with a white cloud (whatever that means).

Why was this folder added to my files? Is it safe to delete?

  • Paper is busy migrating to a new system called Paper2020 which, incidentally, should have launched in (you guessed it!) 2020. Its way way behind and when it does this it creates that folder for you.

Paper docs now can be saved in any folder at any location unlike previously.

So if yu are happy you dont need them just delete them, you will be fine 🙂
