Dropbox Paper
363 TopicsOffline edit option for the Dropbox Paper desktop app for MacOS & the Dropbox Paper mobile app
A major drawback in Dropbox Paper is not having the ability to edit while offline. It would be so beneficial to make it work offline, and then just sync/save when we're back online. It really limits the functionality when it's online-only. Thank you for your consideration.38Views0likes3CommentsHow to deal with new Dropbox Paper files after migration and locate them?
I am so confused right now. Prior to the upgrade, I had created folders within Dropbox paper so all of my documents are in those folders. I can see those folders within the "Migrated Paper Docs" folder in Dropbox. But when I open the Paper website or the app on my phone, I can't see any of those folders. In theory, I can search for any document that's in those folders, but I want to be able to browse through the folders. I also tried moving the folders from the Migrated folder into the "Paper Docs" folder but nothing happened and I still couldn't see or browse through those folders. On the Paper website, one can now create 'Sections' and move docs into Sections but I have no idea what the use of that is because after creating one, I can't see them within the App. I have no idea what I am supposed to do now to organize this mess. This upgrade should have been seamless to users.421Views2likes10CommentsIntegrating Dropbox Paper with Dropbox

Sad to say that there are numerous bugs in a once wonderful Paper, but perhaps the most annoying one is files no longer sorted based on when they were last open. I now get random files from years ago showing up in the list when I log in to the app or web, and have to search every time to find the most recent file I updated. It's extremely frustrating, and clear that the app is falling apart at an alarming rate.48Views0likes5CommentsSpring Clean your Desktop with Dropbox 🌸

Hi all. This task is killing Me. I have been battling this for a long time. I am trying to export a folder of Dropbox paper, containing approx. 150 .paper documents. I want to export them to .docx. I mark them all and select "Export" and choose .docx format. This is where the frustration comes... Sometimes it is just stuck on the rainbow wizard with text "Waiting to start". Nothing ever happens. Other times i actually starts and may reach 100/150, but never progresses from that. Are there any other otions to export these to .docx? Any 3rd party applications? Thank you in advance11Views0likes1CommentI've added a PDF file to my shared Dropbox Paper doc, but the recipients can't see its preview.
Im having issues with paper document that we've uploaded a pdf - sent to clients and they are unable to view the image of the pdf on mobile or desktop? I've just been adding the pdf using the dropbox 'add' little image, searching for the pdf in a certain folder within our dropbox folders and then clicking upload. Changing the setting to view only as I don't need them to edit it only view it. Also it's a live working document that we make changes to so it must be a pdf doc. can't be a jpg. We can see it on our end in paper? Please can you help resolve this issue.46Views0likes4CommentsPaper by Dropbox to be discontinued?
I'm seeing a number of posts across social media speculating that Dropbox Paper is to be discontinued. As there has been no Paper by Dropbox app update for 2+ years (since Version 262.2), and because of general user discontent regarding the infamous 2020 update, this rumour seems to be gathering momentum. Could somebody confirm what we should expect (and when) before I start scouting for alternative platforms? Many thanks!527Views2likes19CommentsTasks on Dropbox Paper aren't syncing
For a few days now (looks like the issues started mid-march 2025), the to-dos lists on Paper are no longer synced. This happens on the web UI and on the Paper app (used on 2 different devices). Both lists are consistent (what I see on the web is exactly the same as what I see on the app), but the lists are not consistent with the Paper documents. For instance: A to-do removed on a Paper document is still on the to-dos list, A to-do that had been completed on the Paper document is still marked as "to-do" on the to-dos list, A to-do which due date had been changed stills have the old date on the list. Note that I'm using Dropbox Paper for years, and it's the first time I'm having this issue. Thanks in advance for the help!Solved87Views0likes9CommentsExport screen keeps getting stuck
Suddenly I can no longer Export my DropBox files to any format: Markdown, PDF, etc. Every time I try to export, I keep getting stuck on the screen with the little wizard that says "Waiting to start..." but my file never actually exports. I've had this issue for about a week now, and other coworkers on my team have as well.41Views0likes5Comments
