Hey TimB2, have you tried doing this in smaller batches of files perhaps?
Do you get the same results?
If you notice the same behavior after clearing your browser's cache, could you send us a screenshot so that we can have a visual too?

I cleared the cache and still can't back up. Asking me to do it in small batches is telling me indirectly that Dropbox just isn't very good and this behavior is not unexpected. I think I would rather pay for a good program where I can set it and forget it than deal with poor quality. And I really don't know what I would take a screen shot of that would help you. So, unless you have some more helpful advice, I will be cancelling.

Hey TimB2, how many total files are in this folder?
Make sure to try from an incognito window with no plug-ins/add-ons as well.

Incognito mode doesn't help, I still can't back up my files. The folder has about 10,000 photos. But I don't know why that matters. Can you tell me the maximum number of files that can be in a folder for Dropbox to back them up?

The issue is if the internet isnt perfect or drops out the website just stops uploading. Then you need to start again as it doesn't know what was (or wasn't) uploaded. I'd personally not risk uploading that many via the web as you just dont know what has and hasn't worked. You are much better using the desktop client to do it - which is how it's designed to work. That way you just put them in and forget about it while they upload.
