My saved (InDesign) file is not synced after saving it on my Mac
Hello,
Yesterday I worked on some files (InDesign) on my Mac Studio at home. Today I am working at a client on my laptop, but on the way in the train I wanted to make some changes to my InDesign-file. It turns out that the file has not been synced on Dropbox. I 100% saved it because before I left I saved an closed the file on InDesign on my Mac Studio.
Now I can not update my file and my client needs the document today. Why is this not updated???
Very annoying!
Frans

Hey there fransvandervleuten - sorry to hear about your syncing issue.
When you saved your file on your Mac at home, did you make sure that the Dropbox desktop app was running and fully synced (up to date) before closing the app and/or your computer?
Did you check the website to see if the file had synced?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there, Frans.

Hi Frans,
I understand how frustrating this situation can be, especially with a client depending on your document. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the syncing issue:
Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your laptop has a stable internet connection.
Verify Dropbox Sync Status:
- Click on the Dropbox icon in your menu bar to check if syncing is paused. If it is, click Resume syncing.
Check File Location:
- Make sure the InDesign file is saved in the Dropbox folder on your Mac Studio. Sometimes, files saved outside the Dropbox folder won't sync.
Refresh Dropbox:
- Try quitting the Dropbox app on your Mac and restarting it. This can help trigger a sync.
Check Version History:
- If the file is saved in Dropbox, you can access the version history to see if the last version was saved before you left. Right-click the file in Dropbox and select Version history.
Manual Upload:
- If all else fails and you have access to your Mac Studio, consider manually uploading the latest version of the InDesign file to Dropbox from your Mac.
I hope these steps help you resolve the issue quickly!
