My entire Mac home folder now exists within dropbox?!
To my great surprise, I just realized that my entire Mac home folder now exists within dropbox! I learned this while aboard a plane without internet access.
I see that within dropbox settings, there is an option to "new files default: available offline". But what about the rest of my files. I need them to be accessible offline. In fact, I am just fine with the files being exactly as I originally had them: stored locally on my Mac. I only want dropbox for certain files which is the whole reason I got dropbox.
Is there an option to just put all my Mac folders back onto my Mac?
Making all of my files only available when there is an internet connection is a very bad fit for me.

Are you referring to the Dropbox Backup feature? Are you interested in disabling that feature?
Have you tried marking your Dropbox folder as available offline?

Hi, thanks for your help. While I wasn't concerned about the backup feature, I did learn that you could right click on a folder and choose to make it available offline, which is what I did.
