I can upload to shared folders in Dropbox.com but not desktop app
I have a folder that's shared with me by a client. I'm able to upload files to it using Dropbox.com on the web, but I'm unable to add any files to it using the desktop app on Mac. When I drag a fil...

Since the Upload button had greyed out, I then asked the client to take a look at my permissions on their end. They restored the permissions and now everything is working as expected- I'm able to copy files through Finder as well as over the web. The lock icons on the folders all disappeared. No one had gone and removed the permissions yesterday, so something was definitely wonky, which may have been repaired when I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop app, and then asked the client to restore permissions. Anyway, looks like we're good now. Thank you for your time!

Now, after uninstalling/ reinstalling the desktop app, the Dropbox folder has disappeared from my sidebar (I can still open it from the Menu bar icon). Also, the files which were uploading through Dropbox.com on the web had mostly finished uploading and then each file failed to finish. Now I've gone back to try that once again and the Upload button on the website is greyed out. Now, I hover over my thumbnail icon and it says "has view" permissions instead of "can edit" permissions. So something got screwy where I used to have edit permissions but now I may not. But earlier today, the Upload button was there and the files were uploading- even though they failed to finish. I'm reaching out to the client that shared the folder to see what the permission settings are on their end.

I'd also love to know why all of the subfolders in this shared folder have locked icons on them. I haven't seen that before on any other shared Dropbox folders.
