How to update an expired shared link- is it automatic or have to resend?

i had shared a link that expired june 1.  I just went into settings and tried to extend the link by two months.  Does the link update automatically or do i have to resend the link with the new expiration settings?

Thanks

Technically if the link has expired then, you need to create a new link to the file or folder. Did you extend the link, or set a new expiration date?

If you try to access your existing link using an incognito tab on your browser, are you able to see the content, or do you get any errors?

    Keep me posted!

Yes, the link had expired.  I had assumed that the link would be updated if I extended the link expiration.  Thanks for the thought on resending the link.
