File size limitation when sharing using a Dropbox Plus plan?

Hello,

With Dropbox Plus, I won’t be able to send files larger than 50GB?

I don’t quite understand what this restriction refers to.

Can't I upload and share a 1TB folder incl. 200GB files for example?

Thanks!

  • Hey Bastizor, welcome to our Community!

It all depends on how you wish to share your content.

I'm assuming you're referring to Dropbox Transfer about the 50GB limit, right? If this is indeed the feature you'll be choosing moving forward, then yes that'd be the limit.

If you wish you can always share your 1TB folder, or 200GB files using a shared folder. However, in that case the receiver would need a Dropbox account with enough space available, in order to "host" this folder to their account.

Another alternative would be a shared link. You can choose to share it with people that don't have a Dropbox account, and they can view and download the content you're sending them.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!
