From email records I can see that I accessed the link to that photo album on February 6, 2023 and reviewed and downloaded those photos over a few days after that. So if it was just shy of a year when I logged in this past Sunday (2/4), why is there no files and no record of that activity?
So. You accessed a link? That means the files are not on your Dropbox and never have been. They have been on the other persons who you got them off. THEY need to resend you the info and links etc.

Sure would be nice if Dropbox sent their customers a f*cking warning about inactivity before simply wiping data! Guess I'll be finding a different service provider if I ever need to upgrade my file storage.
They do. Multiple. You get one 3 months before and then one every few weeks after that. BUT based on what you said - the files were never on your account. You are viewing via a link. That link probably came from your photographer and so the files were/are on THEIR account, not yours. You wouldnt have a link to your own files.
You probably were told by them to download the files within x timescale or the link would be deactivated etc. However, contact them again - they may be able to help.

All of you keep going back to the photo link, which I understand I didn't own it and lost access. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE. I just confirmed I have logged in within the last 12 months and have not received ANY emails from Dropbox warning me about inactivity. This is clearly not going anywhere so I'm going to move on and hope there was nothing important saved in my account.
