Can I delete the photos both from my phone and Dropbox at the same time?
Hi Folks,
My Android phone (Google Pixel 7) has Dropbox installed and when I take a photo it automatically uploads to Dropbox (I have a personal Dropbox Plus account). I normally take lots of phot...

Hey lewiskei, thanks for posting your question today!
Since the Camera Uploads feature is designed to safely back up your device's photos and videos, there's no way to sync deletions between Camera Uploads and your device.
I'll pass your comments along to our team, however, so thanks for the feedback.
If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks for the reply Hannah, I suspected as much. So, another question. If I switch off Camera Uploads, take my photos, delete the ones I don't want, then switch Camera Uploads back on, will it then automatically upload the remaining photos or will I need to do a manual upload? Also, is it possible to perform manual uploads if I switch off Camera Uploads permanently?
Thanks
Keith

Hey Keith!
You can definitely manually upload any photos you want, when Camera Uploads is switched off.
As for your question, do you mean if you delete the photos you don't want from your phone or your Dropbox?
- lewiskei2 years agoExplorer | Level 4From my phone Hannah. But I think I've come up with a better solution now. How does this sound to you? Leave Camera Uploads on all the time, take photos on my phone and then delete those I don't want on my phone. On Dropbox there will be ALL the photos I originally took and on my phone there will just be the ones I actually want to keep. Then block delete all those photos in Dropbox and perform a manual upload of the ones remaining on my phone. I will still have to delete them twice but the deletion on Dropbox will just be a block delete rather than having to go through and delete them individually.
Thanks
Keith
