Dropbox Mac Beta Deleting Scanned files on Mac
Hi, I am scanning on my Scansnap directly into Dropbox. It is instantly deleting them. Where are they going? Why is it doing this? Can I recover them?

Dropbox can't delete your files so I would agree that it's likely the ScanSnap software, or at least something other than Dropbox directly. Try having ScanSnap save the file elsewhere and see what happens, or pause Dropbox from syncing and try the scan again.

Restore one of the deleted files and look at its version history. It will show you which device the deletion is occurring on. Look on that device for a possible cause.

If I use the Scansnap software to rename the file, it doesn't delete. It seems only when I use the default name. Kind of odd.
