I don't have access to my files. Couldn’t be opened because you don’t have permission to view.
All of a sudden I can no longer access my files in Dropbox. Why?

Not sure if you saw my last post, but I have a folder for all my recipes on Dropbox. When try to access one on my computer I gat this message:
The file “Garlic & Herb Roasted Shrimp Recipe | Ina Garten | Food Network.pdf” couldn’t be opened because you don’t have permission to view it. I do not get this message on my iPhone or my iPad, just my MacBook Pro. Thanks for any help.

Hi nillydog, let's jump right into this!
As a first step, could you send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a visual too?
Also, what is the desktop app's version and status as shown in your menu bar?
One more thing: can you try to quit the app, and check if you get the same error, while the app is closed?
Keep me posted!
