How to make my files available offline, so that I'm able to transfer them?

Hello everyone

I am new to Dropbox. I have the free trial. I am trying to download all my photos from various phones into Dropbox. Then I am going to transfer them onto an external hard drive.

I have just downloaded Dropbox onto my PC and the photos all have clouds next to them. How do I download them so I am able to transfer them. I have thousands so doing this as multiples would be better TIA.

Your files are set to Online-only. Select the files, right-click and select Make available offline. You can do this to an individual file, a group of files, or every folder/file in your Dropbox. The more you select, the longer it will take to sync.
