Bonjour, j'ai soucrit gratuitement à un compte personnel dropbox et je suis bénévole dans une association qui a son compte dropbox. On m'a donné le lien vers ce dernier compte et j'y accède avec mon adress mail de mon compte personnel. Depuis je reçois des mails que mon espace est plein et que je dois souscrire en payant pour plus d'espace. je pense qu'il s'agit plus d'un problème de droits différenciés entre mon compte perso et celui de l'accès au compte de l'association. comment faire ? est-ce à l'administrateur du compte de l'association qui doit gérer les accès ? est-ce possible avec la m^me adresse mail ? merci de votre aide23Views1like1CommentGive us the ability to hide the names/emails of members in shared folders.
The hide feature for viewer visibility is strictly for link sharing. Turning off this feature still enables all members inside the folder to view each others emails and names. This is a problem for years and still no new feature added to remedy this issue. It is a HUGE issue when you have 100+ clients agents and not being able to update 100+ folders every 2nd day if a small update occurs..so adding all the emails of the different members (agents etc..) isnt possible for 1 folder only. Since they all can see who else is in the folder (which is a BIG no no)... and no we dont want to share a link..I want to be able to open dropbox, see the folder, click it, view everything, and not be able to see all the competition under the members list. simple just add an option to disable member viewing as well...more than 5 years now and counting..nothing has been done to adress this NEED from the consumer. I pray I am just so misinformed and that there is some feature or setting hiding somewhere to help with this. (8 months ago I was informed by a dropbox member (alicedropbox) that this feature is not available YET, so I hope atleast its being worked on). I am trying to link Dropbox Teams account with new Salesforce setup. I can see from both softwares that I am connected but in the Dropbox window within a Salesforce case or opportunity, I get the following message: "You need to be invited to the 'Salesforce Documents' shared folder. Please contact your system administrator to get access to content already linked to this record." I am the system administrator for Dropbox. Dirty practice from Dropbox to prompt a recipient of a shared file to be asked to join your team. This prompt confuses the recipient of the file who requests to join the team and therefore Dropbox gains another paid user. This user (from another company) if added to the team by an overworked I.T. dept who isn't paying attention, then gains access to the company files. Please re-work your prompt system and remove the option to request access to join the team. We can add members to the team from the admin console and this is the most secure way to do this. This fault is obviously a great way for Dropbox to gain 'accidental' paid users at the expense of security. I receive a few of these emails each month and each time it's just Dropbox testing my intelligence again to see if I will accidentally add a totally random person to access our company files by mistake. This is absolutely not secure file storage and is designed to be misleading. It is frustrating that Dropbox is actively phishing. Disabling the ability of a user to request to join a team (from outside your company) would resolve this. It is hard to imagine a scenario where you would want to add (and pay for) an external user to your team. If you did need this feature, it would be a deliberate action and the cost involved would need to be approved (an ongoing subscription - the worst kind of cost). Email requests from external users would of course be ignored and make no impact on the purchase of the license. The current short term fix i can suggest is just setting Dropbox emails to block/spam/autodelete. We are small organisation where three people from the management should share documents. We decided to purchase Dropbox Business with 3 licenses. One person created the Dropbox account, and automatically became ADMIN. His email become the address used by Dropbox to communicate the issues affecting the whole team. Other people were invited by admin via invitation process. Now - in this organisation, management regularly rotate - one or more people leave the management, other people enter management. At any given time, there are at most 3 people in the management. What is the correct procedure to manage Dropbox accounts in this scenario? For example - when Admin person is replaced in the management, how to transfer ADMIN role to differrent user? There are two scenario variants: a) tranfer ADMIN role to already existing user b) transfer ADMIN role to newly added user - this, however, temporarily increases the number of users by 1 🙂 How to solve this?70Views0likes5CommentsDropbox admin account was deleted due to locked state
Hello, Our company’s admin Dropbox account was deleted due to locked state. However, other team members who had access to files shared from this admin account can still view them. I need to delete some of these files, but since the owner account (admin) was deleted, I no longer have control over them. When I logged back into the admin account, a new profile was created, and all previous files were missing. Is there a way to assign admin rights to one of the existing members with access to these files, so they can control and manage them as an admin?
