So, Dropbox got rid of the vault feature last month. The question now becomes, how do you add a password to files and/or folders to keep it secured? At a minimum, Windows lets you password protect a file, so if Dropbox can't even do that now what's the point of it? Additionally, I am logged out of Dropbox on my computer, but can still access my Dropbox drive from My Computer. With the vault gone, how do I make sure that these files are only accessible either on Dropbox website or only if I'm logged in?16Views0likes1CommentCan photos be automatically checked for spam content etc, before being added to Dropbox?
Hi everyone! I want to switch to using a Dropbox service from another service, and I can't quickly find the necessary information regarding such functionality that would help analyze photos before uploading them to storage. Does Dropbox have such functionality?Solved31Views0likes4CommentsSender receives an email notification when and with who they share a folder with!
Whenever the owner shares a folder/ file in dropbox they should receive a delivery notification that the folder/ file has been shared with the receiver detailing the date/ time/ receiver details (name and account/ email), similar to the one a receiver gets from dropbox portal that a file/ folder has been shared by xxxx dropbox account. We all make mistakes or sometimes it could be some glitch in the devices, a folder is shared accidently and as you do not receive any notifications so such detail can easily be missed as the sender is oblivious of the activity/ mistake and it can go unnoticed. When the receiver accepts and joins the folder than its easy to check who has access but in cases where the receiver accepts and immediately removes themselves in that case its practically impossible to track if the shared folder was ever accessed by the receiver. This also can be deemed as a security concern, as the sender is completely oblivious of the shared folder status and there is no proof that the folder was actually shared with the receiver. The activity log and events page do reflect the sharing of the folder but do not provide details with who the folder/ file was shared. Hope this can be taken into consideration as can surely help track sharing of folders much better and secured. Thanks31Views0likes3CommentsI need help signing in to my account

Hello, I would like to bring to your attention that our clients are frequently receiving Dropbox emails that appear to be from "our employees." The domain is legitimate, as it is no-reply@dropbox.com; however, these Dropbox links contain malicious files. It seems that scammers are utilizing your platform to generate phishing emails that are sent directly from Dropbox, impersonating users within our company. We believe there should be enhanced policies implemented by Dropbox to address and prevent this issue.36Views0likes1CommentCan you change the data locations for Basic accounts?
Hello, Given the increasing focus and concern on data transfers and data storage locations it makes sense the Dropbox should extend the option to choose the storage location on all accounts not just the ones that are paid for. I appreciate that this feature is a way to differentiate accounts between free to paid (and a way to make money) but the rights of the data subject are still crucial. I know Dropbox have all the relevant documentation and standards however that is not the same as having your data in your own country/region.711Views0likes15CommentsI need help recovering files deleted more than a year and a half ago

So I just received an email from no-reply@dropboxmail.com saying that someone had tried to log into my account from an "unrecognised location". I found it weird because I don't even use that email account with Dropbox, but the email address seems legit. I'm attaching a screenshot of the email. Anyway, there is a link "Click here to verify...". I didn't click, I copied the link instead, without visiting it. And here's what came up: https://www (dot) dijitalkurumsal (dot) com/js/EMAILVARIFICATION.php?email= + my email address So be careful, because I think "dijitalkurumsal" has nothing to do with Dropbox. :-/Solved78KViews0likes4Comments
