Sync
4801 TopicsWhy do I need to sync my files manually on the desktop app?
I have stopped automatically downloading videos to my Mac. Folders appear in the finder and videos are also visible, but to download I need to try to open each one separately so that the download starts. What could be the problem?59Views0likes8CommentsI can't open/edit/upload files inside my desktop app
hey there, I've been having a lot of sync issues with the desktop app lately. I have a new install on a Mac (Sequoia 15.1). I opted to keep all my folders offline on the install. However in the Mac finder no folders are visible, only individual folders. On the webapp they are all there. I want selective sync and decide after the install what I want kept locally.3Views0likes1CommentWhy is my Documents folder in my Dropbox folder?
After many years using the same computer, we purchased a new one. There are many things different from the "old days". I feel like a total newbie! I somehow ended up with my documents folder in Dropbox. And I don't use Dropbox. Could someone please tell me how I can get my files out of dropbox and my documents folder back in File Explore where I've always had it? I am leaving next week and I'd really like to be able to use my computer without these changes. Thank you for any suggestions.379Views0likes9CommentsHow can I connect an existing Dropbox folder to my new Windows desktop app?
I've tried many time, but I just not able to sync my Dropbox Folder over a new Windows (and Dropbox) installation in my PC in a preexistent hard drive with my Dropbox Folder. So, I have to download, again, all my files for a hard drive that already has my Dropbox folder... Than, I have to deleted the previous synced folder. Please, any help?Solved57Views0likes5CommentsAdd .dropboxignore directory to exclude folders without using selective sync
Please please please can you add a feature that allows folders to be excluded from the Dropbox account (on windows and mac). For sure I'm not the first person to request this, but I'm yet to find a good explanation of why it's not there. A quick google search reveals loads of people also looking for the same feature. I really like the workflow I have with dropbox, but it's getting to the point where I might switch providers in order to allow better selective sync. I've seen hackish solutions using selective sync, but it would be great if this could be done in one of the following ways: - global pattern matching eg "node_modules" - a marker file in the directory like .dropboxignore - a simple right click context menu "Ignore this folder" Other than that, keep up the good work. Da un aggiornamento di dropbox (attualmente ho installata la versione 212.4.5767), le icone di sincronizzazione (prima incorporate dentro a quelle dei file, in basso) sono finite a lato ben distanti... Così come mostrato qui a seguire. Grazie a chiunque possa darmi una mano a risolvere26Views0likes2CommentsThe uploaded photos from the Camera Uploads aren't synced locally.
Hey there, Here's a problem I'd like some advice on. What I would want: 1. The photos from my iPhone get automatically uploaded to my Camera Uploads account in Dropbox - SUCCESS 2. The uploaded photos from the Camera Uploads account get automatically downloaded/synced to the hard drive of my MacBook - FAIL The filenames of the uploaded photos are visible in my desktop app, and if I double-click on them to view them, they will get downloaded eventually I have checked all settings I could think of and they all seem to be right. Still, I don't get to the expected result. Any guidance is much appreciated150Views0likes5Comments
