I was logged into my Dropbox account misc...@gmail.com and used that "Upload from Drive" thing to grab some files from my other Google Drive account ish...@gmail.com. But then, out of nowhere, my Dropbox profile pic changed to the profile pic of that ish....gmail.com Google account! That's kinda strange, right? Especially since those are totally different email addresses. It feels kinda wrong that just grabbing files from a Google Drive would mess with my Dropbox profile pic. Imagine if I was pulling stuff from a friend's Drive – I definitely wouldn't want their picture on my Dropbox! \ Just wanted to flag this as something that seems a bit off and maybe not how it's supposed to work.4Views0likes0CommentsHyperlinking to a certain page in a PDF file via Dropbox
Hi, It would be fantastic to be able to send out a hyperlink, to a certain page in a PDF. I have tried using hyperlink=#page=15 (for example) and a number of other approaches all unsuccessfully. This would be a really useful feature for dropbox. It would save me so much time. Thanks,21Views0likes1CommentShared links stopped working. We’ve interrupted your sharing activity.
Hi guys, All shared links stopped working all of a sudden. These shared links worked nicely for a long time. I am on the Basic plan, so I can't contact Dropbox support. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would let me know how to fix this. Thanks!44Views0likes5CommentsI keep getting a "Couldn't complete share" error on my computer.

Hey there Sam, Any new word on this QR code discussion? I am needing to create physical notebooks for co-counsels and some exhibits are too big to print and put into a notebook/binder. QR codes seemed like the way to go. I know I can still do it using a different QR Generator, but it sure would be cool to do this directly with Dropbox. Is there some other tool I can use for this kind of situation that I don't know about yet? Thanks a million!77Views0likes5CommentsSearch and sort through images with facial recognition
I’m in my final year of high school and my cohort has started a Dropbox to compile everyone’s photos for the whole year. I think it would be really cool to be able to say find all the photos of me, or the photo of me and Person A. Similar of like how you can search by people on the Apple photos app. We have hundreds of photos and sorting through them is tedious. I think this could be a really cool idea.585Views10likes5CommentsCan I share a folder? If so, then how?
I was a member some years ago but deleted my account for various reasons. I have recently joined the free version and, obviously, see a lot of changes have taken place. In "the old days" if I wanted to share a lot of photos, I would insert them in a folder (I can't remember the name), and email the person I wanted to share with, and they could access the folder through a link in the email. Is it possible to still do this, or is creating a shared folder the way now?Solved35Views0likes3Comments#Can tags be more useful?
I'm an Evernote user from the early days. Tagging items has been something I'm accustomed to for a long time. I'm bummed that Dropbox isn't taking full advantage of these. They are not easy to get to in the web interface at all. I count at least 3 clicks, and none of those clicks are "Tag..." Once something is tagged... am I just missing something? It's not evident at all. They aren't distinguished in a "bubble" or "block", color coded, and no option exists in the sidebar. I also cannot add the tags to my visible column set (also really lacking area). The only place I've discovered that tags actually exists in the web interface is under the search bar - but not at all where I would expect to see them in the application.29Views0likes2CommentsMalware warning on teammate's MacOS when overwriting files
I render videos out to Dropbox and then other people on my team use them. If I need to overwrite a file because of an error or something my teammate gets an alert on their Mac when trying to open that video file that says it is possible malware and has to manually go in and approve each file and tell the Mac to open the file anyway. Is there a setting this teammate has on their computer causing this to get it to ignore all files on Dropbox or something? It can end up being a lot of files sometimes that are overwritten and they have to go in on each one and manually override the warning. TIA13Views0likes1Comment
