2020 TopicsHow to reset my camera uploads, I tried everything
Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7KViews1like72CommentsCamera Uploads IOS 18 on iPad not working correctly
I have upgraded to iOS 18 on my iPad and updated the Dropbox app. I turned Camera Uploads on, with Upload from set to Camera Roll and Back up set to All Photos. Nothing is uploaded, even though my Camera Roll has over 16,000 photos. Uploading manually is not an option, as there is no Select All function. In addition, manual upload only allows 400 photos at a time. The new iOS 18 Photos app no longer has a folder named 'Camera Roll', so I'm wondering if that is the problem? I logged out of the Dropbox app and back in, which then took me through Set Up your Dropbox. The Upload Photos option seemed like it would work if I chose Imports, but again there is no Select All option. So I went back to the Camera Uploads settings and turned Camera Roll off, and Recently Saved (under Smart Folders) on. Same thing, nothing uploads. I'm stumped!61Views0likes5CommentsMy signatures saved on my iPad are not appearing on Dropbox.com and on Android
I saved two signatures on iPad and these are not appearing on my other devices. Are saved signatures supported to sync between devices or I have to create signatures in every device I want to use to sign my PDF documents?189Views0likes9CommentsUploading images/videos from iPhone resets the name to today's date instead of its creation date
Hello Dear Dropbox-Team, I find it very useful that Dropbox changes the names of my images and videos to this uniform format "[Foto|Video] DD.MM.YY, HH MM SS.[jpg|png|mp4|...]" when I upload them from my iPhone using the client. For example, my image named "IMG_1234" will be named "Foto 01.01.20, 12 59 55". This helps me a ton to organise my images/videos on a separate drive by sorting by name, since the date is embedded in the filename. Unfortunately, this does not work for all images. After uploading some of my images, the creation date is reset to today's date, which breaks this organisation system. I have not changed the metadata on these images, but it still happens. Is there a way to make the naming convention consistent, propably with a fix? Thank you in advance for answering my question 🙂399Views0likes9CommentsAudio files are compressed/downgraded in quality when exported locally.
I've noticed an issue with exporting/sharing audio files over the last few months, from Dropbox into iMessage. I often share audio files for work, and I go into the app, click share, then export file. Recently when I do this my audio files are getting compressed and severely downgraded in quality. I've also noticed file size going from 8-9mb to 2-3mb. The degrading of quality is a major problem. this bug seems to be continuing and would love to have it reported to the team!20Views0likes1CommentiPhone 14 Outlook app doesn't show files for Dropbox
When trying to attach a Dropbox file using the Outlook mobile app, a screen says "No files found." I used to be able to create an email and then attach the Dropbox file using the Outlook app, but now this is not working. It's possible from the Dropbox app side, but not from Outlook. Any idea why this is happening? I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Dropbox and removing/adding my Dropbox profile for Outlook, but this persists.24Views0likes2CommentsDropbox desktop app not syncing with my iPad Pro
Hello, My Dropbox app on iPad is not syncing with my Windows 11 desktop. For example, when I open a mind mapping software that I use (Xmind) and try to open a mind map that I saved in Dropbox desktop: beside the Dropbox icon, there is a circle formed by two arrows with an exclamation point inside of the circle. I cannot find any information in Dropbox support files on this specific icon. I am guessing it is indicating some sort of sync issue. I would appreciate your instruction and help for this Dropbox newbie. Thanks much! Dave10Views0likes1CommentApps in iPhone say my Dropbox is empty
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!9Views0likes1CommentIs there a way to run the Dropbox app in the background on my iPhone?
Hey everyone, I just switched to an Android from an iPhone. I am facing a feature problem that I loved on my iPhone! Which is, if I open up an audio file from my dropbox app I can just do other stuff on my phone. On android however, it stops playing whenever I switch over to a different app. Is there a way to let it run in the background just like the iPhone? Thanks!3.2KViews1like9CommentsMobile Dropbox app: handwriting/annotations (with pencil) for pdf, photos and drawing files
Do you want to use less paper and organise your handwritten annotations on digital files? In daily business, I need to review documents (pdf): highlighting, adding quick handwritten notes or adding symbols is very usefull. As a sailer, I make notes on weather charts(gif, png or jpeg), plot tidal calculations on a tidal template for a harbour (pdf). Or I need to draw secondary port calculations in a standard pdf template. As a musician, I make notes on a digital music sheet. There should be an option in the Dropbox app to add these annotations to the original document or to create a copy including the annotations (in the file name it adds your initials and a date). I know there is a feature to add signatures, but this proposal takes the next step! I think this would we a very useful add on for the mobile (tablet) Dropbox app. Thanks for sharing, commenting and voting 🙂 (just click vote after reading this) Bass&Art Bart6.5KViews5likes6Comments
