I can no longer open my Microsoft files via my Android mobile app. They throw all sorts of errors.
Please help, I am in a HUGE panic. As of this morning, my Android Microsoft mobile apps no longer open my more than 1000 Dropbox files. I cannot save a newly created Microsoft file to Dropbox either. I have always been able to open and save my Dropbox files in the Android Microsoft apps (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel , etc) on my Pixel 8. I can no longer open files. Here's the message I get when I try to open a Dropbox file from within Microsoft Word: "Can't open file. [file name] is stored in an unsupported server location." If I try to open a file from within Dropbox, I get an error message that reads, "Can't complete task. Something went wrong. Please try again." I was initially able to open files within M365 Copilot, but I just started receiving the same message and I can't view any of my files. When I tried to connect a different Dropbox account, I received a message that said, "Access blocked: dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies." Please note that the apps are all updated. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps in addition to restarting my phone. Furthermore, my Pixel device is properly linked to my Dropbox account PLEASE HELP!!
Problems downloading shared links on iPhones
I am trying to share some folders with photos with a number of non-dropbox users. But there seems to be a problem with download. I have set a link for viewing as follows: Anyone with the link can access. Expiration date: 1 day. Required password: On. Disable download: Off. I shared the link with a user for testing. The URL appears to be working. The password is requested. Upon entering the password the user gets access to the folder and can see the pictures in the subfolders. However, when the user taps download on the screen on the phone, nothing happens. When trying to dowload the entire folder, a message telling the user that download will begin shortly appears, but nothing happens. I tested the URL on in Chrome in incognitive mode on an Android and confirmed that download works as expected. What am I doing wrong here?
Preserve file Creation Dates(and other metadata) in mobile app versions
The ability to preserve, view, sort by, etc the original Creation Dates(and other metadata) of files is missing or severely limited in the Dropbox mobile apps. People who donât use Dropbox primarily for business purposes on a computer but, as many of us do these days, use our smartphones as our primary(or only) method of keeping track of media/documents/audio files/etc are having to deal with the frustrating situation of trying and failing to backup/reorganize/download to another mobile device/etc our files without losing this extremely important file metadata. I canât even view ANY file information on non-photo files, and the photos are difficult to even upload with a title that reflects the actual creation date. If not uploaded at a painful 1 image at a time (and many times not even then) the file name will be changed to the upload date/time. The creation date is ALWAYS listed as the upload time or the last time that it was moved, downloaded, re-uploaded, etc. Thereâs no sort by CREATION date, only sort by Modification date which is just a complete denial of basic file management for those of us who manage all of our files on mobile phones and tablets. We desperately need full file information accessibility for Dropbox mobile apps⊠ESPECIALLY the ability to preserve and sort by the ORIGINAL file creation dates⊠and to not lose access to those creation dates when moved, renamed, downloaded, re-uploaded, etc, but to keep them intact despite all modifications. Creation dates and modification dates can be preserved separately without sacrificing one for the other, as long as the filesâ metadata remains intact.
The iOS/iPad app is reporting that I'm out of device storage
Both the Dropbox app on my iPhone and my iPad are stating I am out of local iPhone storage when I have plenty. I launch app and it says: âTo continue using Dropbox, delete some files, photos, or apps from your device. Yet my iPhone 16 Pro Max shows Iâm using only 199.09GB of 1.02TB And my iPad Pro shows Iâm using only 322.48GB of 2TB.. So not using anywhere near all my storage so not sure why not letting me use the App. Can use fine on MacBook, windows and a Android Phone its only with the iOS Devices :-(
Easier editing of PDFs on mobile
It would be really useful if a couple of things were added to the editing of PDFs when using a mobile device. - For one, a simple way to add something like a tick or a cross would be really useful. - The ability to copy and paste any edits. - The ability to draw, like you can when editing on desktop.
Dropbox iOS problem: Unable to share more than 3 files at once.
After my Dropbox app was automatically updated recently (version 414.3), I can no longer send more than four files at once through another app. When I select four or fewer files, it works fine, but selecting more than four prevents me from tapping the send button. My friends who also use iPhones are experiencing the same issue, but Android devices donât seem to have this problem. (I'm using an iPhone 16 Pro.) My recording link: removed

I'd like to switch my billing over directly to Dropbox instead of through my Apple account on my Iphone. I've spoken to their tech support and they don't have any solutions. I'd like to take advantage of a benefit I have through Adobe, but because it's connected to billing in Apple, it doesn't allow me to get the deal. It says my billing is managed externally. I let my Dropbox plan expire, as advised by Dropbox customer service, but it's been two days since it expired, and with it being my work, I'm concerned about losing my files if I don't get this fixed sooner than later. Does anyone know the steps on how to remove the "inactive" Dropbox subscription from my Apple account? Or on the Dropbox side, how to switch my billing over to Dropbox instead of externally?
Automated Photo Sorting by Location (EXIF data)
Currently i use my phone for taking work-related photos as well as personal stuff, of course everything gets uploaded into the Camera Uploads folder. It would be awesome if there was an automation where it could check the EXIF data of each photo and put in a separate folder by location so all my work-related pics would be separated from everything else. Possible?
