I have deleted all my connections and I still get this message. What am I doing wrong? I just want to download everything and move to another service. I find dropbox far too complicated nowadays. I have been trying for weeks to get my stuff downloaded. I want to delete some files in dropbox to make it smaller first but it wont even allow me to delete files.
don't allow Dropbox forum to view basic information like username, email
When I logged into the Dropbox forum today, I was sent to a page that said: "Dropbox Community Forum would like to: View basic information about your Dropbox account such as username, email, and country." This seems pretty innocuous, but I'd like the opportunity to say no. However, I'm unable to say no and still log into my account. It says, "You can disconnect apps anytime in connected apps within your account settings." I don't see "connected apps" anywhere in my account settings. I went to this FAQ page: https://help.dropbox.com/integrations/third-party-apps Under "How to disconnect a third-party app from your Dropbox account", Steps 3 & 4, it says to go to my settings and "Click Apps." Where? I don't see "Apps" anywhere in my settings.
Dropbox gives location via links sent
I use drop box for a number of things. I just had someone who has been with me for a while with my drop box tell me he got an exact location from my drop box. he sent me a picture of my exact location on that file. This is a huge safety issue. I have an iPhone 16pro Dropbox version : 402.2.2
I didn't get an "Out of space" email even though my notifications are on.
It has been set, but I didn't get an email about I'm running out of space, when it happened yesterday. I don't know why. I have checked my Gmail and nothing is in the Spam or Trash folder. There is no filter set for Dropbox emails.
I verified my email address, but it still appears to be unverified.
I get the verification email, click the link to verify my email, and it opens up a new dropbox window in Chrome, but the account email is still not verified after multiple attempts. It's a basic account so I can't talk to support. Any suggestions?I'm not receiving the password reset email. What can I do?
Hi, can't recover my other (older) account, which is obviously associated to another mail. I tried to get a mail to create a new password but I didn't find anything in the "inbox" and "spam" folder. I verified my email but it doesn't register as verified
I'm trying to share a folder through a link. It wants me to verify my email address. I've verified my email by clicking the link it sends me about 10 times now, but it still doesn't register as verified, even under my account settings. I am unable to change the name of a device (an iPad) that appears in the online Security panel of my account. On the iPad I delinked the device from my Dropbox account, then confirmed that it disappeared from the device list in the online Security panel. Then on the iPad I changed the device name using the prescribed method. I verified that the name had been changed in the Apple ID section of the iPad settings. Then using the Dropbox app on the iPad, I added the device to Dropbox again. It reappeared in the Security panel of my online account, but without the name change. So I am stumped. Changing the name of a device should be easy to do.
