We are small organisation where three people from the management should share documents. We decided to purchase Dropbox Business with 3 licenses. One person created the Dropbox account, and automatically became ADMIN. His email become the address used by Dropbox to communicate the issues affecting the whole team. Other people were invited by admin via invitation process. Now - in this organisation, management regularly rotate - one or more people leave the management, other people enter management. At any given time, there are at most 3 people in the management. What is the correct procedure to manage Dropbox accounts in this scenario? For example - when Admin person is replaced in the management, how to transfer ADMIN role to differrent user? There are two scenario variants: a) tranfer ADMIN role to already existing user b) transfer ADMIN role to newly added user - this, however, temporarily increases the number of users by 1 🙂 How to solve this?58Views0likes5CommentsMy account has been deleted because i joined another Dropbox team by mistake.

Hello Folks. i hope you can help. I have joined a TEAM and in the process i have lost access to to my own (paid for 3TB personal ACC). This is what happened: I have a personal account which i pay for 3TB (call this TB_P1) I was asked to joined a team to work on a project and in the process i couldn't work how to link my Personal account to their team. So i logged off and Started fresh by trying to join their TEAM without being logged into my personal Dropbox. So whilst i was Joining the team DropBox required me to set up another 'Personal account' as i couldn't seem to link my own one (lets call this TB_P2) So i have now lost access to my own personal TB_P1 account. what i have access to now is a new Personal account TB_P2 of which i don't want and the TEAM for work which i do want to be linked to. So the question is: How do i get rid of this new Personal account and Link my TB_P1 account instead of this redundant TB_P2 account? Any help would be great as i Dropbox don't seem to have any customer care? How strange? Dear All We have just activated a Dropbox Business account with the standard three licenses. I successfully activated the first license (admin), and the Admin Console shows that I’ve used 1 out of 3 licenses. However, when I attempt to invite another member, the invitation email doesn’t get sent, and I receive the error message “failed to load pricing information.” (see picture) I'm at a loss for how to resolve this issue and would appreciate any guidance. Hi, I am really struggling with the set up of our business account. For background, we are a committee from various organisations, needing access to the same files. When you add a member, it says it will bring over the members personal files. I tested this by adding my personal Dropbox account but cannot find where my personal files would be. When I go to remove my personal account, it asks to keep or delete my personal files. Why would I want anyones personal files and why would they be deleted when they're their own files?Solved1.2KViews0likes1CommentI joined a team and now my plan has been cancelled. How can I go back to a personal account again?
I joined a dropbox team and then my account was cancelled. Why did it do this? How do I get my account back to where it was before cancelling? Thanks [removed per Community Guidelines]309Views0likes6CommentsWhat will happen if I accept a colleague's invitation to join her Dropbox team?
I recently had a colleague invite me to their DropBox Teams. I am reluctant to add the account because I do not want to comingle my account and folders with my colleagues. I don't mind having access to view and download files she shares. But I want my Dropbox files and folders to remain private and inaccessible unless I decide to share. Can someone help me understand what happens If I accept the Team invite from my colleague to join her Team Dropbox? Thanks, Dr. Shinshuri190Views0likes2CommentsI joined a Business team, and now I can't access my own Dropbox account.
Can anyone help me? I have had an existing dropbox account for years. I freelance for an external company who invited me to join their dropbox business account and somehow i have integrated my business dropbox account onto theirs. Obviously not a great situation to be in and I don't know how to undo it - it doesn't appear has 'linked' in my profile. I really need to speak to someone at dropbox but i sent them a help request and they closed it without answering. I'm very anxious that they can simply delete my whole business dropbox. Can anyone help me or give me a contact at dropbox who can?Solved1.8KViews0likes6CommentsI thought my client was sharing files with me and I accidentally joined their Dropbox team.
I thought I had my own Dropbox Plus account [removed] the past few years, but today I received the following INVITATION (see below) from what I “think” is a new client of mine in California? I am “guessing” the name of one of his businesses might be “Avalon”? I thought this invitation was for them to maybe add a shared folder to my Dropbox account, but instead apparently when I accepted the invitation it CANCELLED my Plus account and somehow made me part of an Avalon Team??? I have never even heard of a TEAM account (nor do I want to be part of one if it affects my previous account and file structure). I subsequently received an email from Dropbox that says my previous account has been cancelled and a partial refund issued??? When did I ask for or agree to that? I now have no idea what I have - I just see Standard Account and Avalon Team files with all my previous clients folders dumped into a single folder with my name? Is there a way to undo this and get back to where I was this morning?
