Account Access
1511 TopicsHow can I receive a refund for an account I can't access?
I was terminated from a job that required me to have a Dropbox subscription. The account is linked to my work email and I don’t have the password. How can I contact Dropbox to close the account and refund me for the last bill? Thanks132Views0likes6CommentsAuthorization code for business account.
I need to access a group account for a nonprofit I work for, not frequently but occasionally. As it is now, when I sign in from home to the group account, it sends email to the owner of the account and she has to send the code to me. But she is not always available, and sometimes I need to do something at night, and hate to bother her for the code. Is there some way to bypass the code, or can she authorize me to get the code for myself? I appreciate the need for verification for access, but it is a problem for me on this account... Thanks, hope you can help. <L>6Views0likes1Comment'Too many incorrect attempts' error when trying to change my password.
Hi Support Team, I'm going to change the password of my Dropbox account. Let me do it by removing the warning in your system stating that, "Too many incorrect attempts. Please try again in a few minutes." It's been a few hours already since I attemptedto login. How long should I wait for this? It's very urgent on my end. I've been waiting for a long hours now. Thanks!73Views0likes5CommentsI can't access my photos, as I'm being asked to upgrade my Dropbox account.
I REALLY need help, please. A very long time ago my wife and I wanted to put our photos, many of them precious, in a safe place. She suggested putting them om a USB but I said we should put them on something called "Dropbox" It was free and safe. What a fool I was. Over time it said my account was "getting " full so I deleted as many things as I could and things were fine. Then without using my account much at all I went to it and it says it's full and I have to pay a large sum of money, which I don't have, in order to get into my account. It seems like kidnapping. If I were to pay the money I don't even know if I could get my photos back without deleting them all. The only thing I can think of is, paying the ransom, downloading the photos to my hard drive, moving them to a USB (my PC is old and I can't fit in a USB and a wireless USB in at the same time) and terminating my account. Even then I'm afraid I will lose everything because it says that by terminating your account all of your data will be deleted. I really don"t know what to do. Wow, do I feel like u sucker.545Views0likes12CommentsLogged into my account and all my files are missing
I've had a drop box subscription for a few years and at renewal, December 1st, 2022, I upgraded to DropBox Plus. Last week I had a blue-screen issue on my Desktop and took it to a repairman. He saved, documents, then (I suppose) cleared the hard drive, and then he reloaded Windows Home 10. When I got my computer back, I noticed I was missing programs - Reaper and Bluebeam. I was annoyed but not too concerned because I had purchase receipts and licenses stored in Dropbox. Then I noticed that Drop Box desktop short-cut was missing. I tried to log-in to DropBox but couldn't remember my password, so the DropBox Chat agent or bot sent me a password reset link. I used that to open DropBox, but all my files are missing. I paid a full year subscription in advance expecting secure cloud storage, but all my stored documents are gone ... very important documents for which there are no or very limited hard copies. Does anyone know how I can recover my old account? Because it looks like my password reset started a new account.4.7KViews0likes80CommentsI can't access my Dropbox account due to 2-step authentication
Dropbox has turned on 2-step authentication without my permission. Problem is, I have left my job and don’t have access to my old phone or email so cannot provide the code for access. The Dropbox has only personal items in it, which I wish to move to another Dropbox set up using my personal account. I have written to them on 4 occasions but not getting anything back. Does anyone have any advice please?80Views0likes3Comments
