When using camera uploads, does deleting a photo from camera roll also delete it from Dropbox?

I really like the idea of Camera Upload, but why when I delete a photo from my phone via my Camera or Gallery view, does this not also delete the photo from my Dropbox Camera Uploads folder?
Is there any plan to address this?

I would like to second the request for this feature. While it is sometimes handy for dropbox to retain an uploaded picture after I've deleted it from my phone, there are times when I want to clean out picture and have them removed from my phone AND dropbox. The current implementation requires that I delete in two places. I (and others) request an option where when deleting a picture from the phone, it also deletes from dropbox. Thank you.

I'm new to uploading from my SD card to my PC...   I lost 2 of the pictures  I need most on my PC.  How can I recover them?  I keep trying to reinsert my SD to get them back.
