With the files returned with a chat inquiry response, it would be helpful to have a preview of those documents/images. With screen space and processing time being a consideration, the preview could be a user settings option. A first page document preview will often help the user to pinpoint a specific source document.

I'm not entirely certain that I'm on the same page with you. 

 

When you mention "the files returned with a chat inquiry response" would you mind clarifying a bit more on this? 

 

Which platform do you use on your end, and what type of documents are you referring to?
