Re: Telling me storage full

I'm being told my storage is full but it isn't.

I am being told that my storage is full but whenever I check it, there is nothing there. No files of any kind and I don't know what else to do.

Does anyone have an Idea of what I can do?

Hey @Kaiser86, thanks for posting here!

Would you mind checking your account's plan page, and sharing a screenshot with me of what you're seeing there?

Do you have any Backups enabled for your account?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Take a screenshot of your usage as shown on your Plan page. It should look like this:

Mine is doing the same, I can't find anything in here and I need to access a folder someone is trying to give me that is 2gb

If you're trying to accept a folder from someone and that's when you're getting the message, then the folder is larger than the amount of free space that you have available in your account. If your account is completely empty, the folder is larger than 2GB.

That's what I figured -- so the 2GB it says the folder has is rounded down?

Most likely. If you have a free Basic account with no additional bonus space, then you can hold exactly 2GB of space. If someone tries to share a folder which is 2.01GB, then you wouldn't be able to accept it.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the message you receive saying you need xGB of space to accept the share usually indicates that you need that much MORE space than what you already have available (unless Dropbox has changed that dialog).
