SYM link for my MacBook Pro

SYM link for my MacBook Pro

I am not able to use my Desktop and Documents folders on my MacBook Pro. The online support person from Apple said that their SYM link was taken over by DROP BOX and that I would need to get with DROPBOX to find out how make the "kind:" under get info for them say DESKTOP or DOCUMENTS instead of ALIAS. I need help. 😊

Hey @JamesAnderson   - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

It sounds like you might have enabled the Dropbox Backup feature at some point. Do you see your computer's OS folder (the Desktop and the Documents folders) in your backups page perhaps?

If you could also let us know the Dropbox desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
