When Windows 11 is in Dark Mode, the Google Chrome browser is also in dark mode by default. In this case the Dropbox 2 factor authentication QR code is not getting recognized by the authenticator app (e.g. Aegis authenticator app). It only works when Windows 11 is in Light Mode (which also forces Google Chrome to Light Mode by default).
Hi @RICO9, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Does this occur on other browsers when using their version of dark mode?
This will help me to assist further!

I don't know. I have not tried. But given the fact that Google Chrome is the most popular web browser in the world, I think a lot of people will face this problem. It should be solved with utmost urgency.
Thanks, I've located a support ticket under your email and have replied to it requesting additional information about this matter.

Hi @Subsam, I've merged you to this thread. Could you try my suggestions in the post above to see if this helps with the QR code detection?

This is happening to me, too. Both 1Password, which can pick up QR codes on a page, and the 2FAS app on my phone, cannot detect the QR code from Dropbox while in Dark mode. It works fine in Light mode.
This is because Dropbox does not add a nontransparent white border around the QR code, as Plex does. You need to update your QR code page to add a small, nontransparent white border around the code:
Well, the Image function seems to be broken, so here is the Dropbox QR code: [Removed as per Community Guidelines]
And the Plex QR code:[Removed as per Community Guidelines]
You need to add a nontransparent white border around the QR code when presented on the overlay on the Security settings page. Plex does this, which makes it easy to be read by a camera or app when in Dark mode. I can provide images of your QR code presentation and how Plex presents the QR code in dark mode, but your board does not allow images, or the image insertion tool is broken, and my links to the images of the QR codes were removed for some reason. But please feel free to contact me for more information.
