Paying for Dropbox Plus but I still have Dropbox basic
I’ve paid for Dropbox Plus via Apple App Store but my account is still Dropbox Basic? What gives? I’ve been paying for Dropbox Plus for at least a year. What do I need to do to fix this so I have access to the full 2tb?
- HannahDropbox StaffHey Justindfox, thanks for posting and happy Monday!
Are you sure you're paying for the correct Dropbox account?
Can you check the email address on your Basic account and then the email address of the account you have connected to your Dropbox mobile app (through the app's settings), and see if they are the same?
Let me know what you find.- JustindfoxExplorer | Level 3Hi yes they both the same exact email, like I said this was the exact way I had been paying for it for quite awhile, I didn’t pay for roughly a month but when I brought it back all of sudden it doesn’t want to work. I can provide proof if needed
- HannahDropbox StaffThanks for the update on this.
If you actually just recently paid for your upgrade, can you please follow these steps?
1. Open your Dropbox app and tap 'Account'
2. Tap on the gear icon at the top of your screen to access your settings
3. Tap on 'Restore purchases'
This should activate your last upgrade.

Money was deducted from my account. But I'm still seeing the Basic plan...
How to get in touch with a real person?
- MeganDropbox StaffHey PieterPaul, welcome to our Community!
Have you checked our self-serve look-up tool, in order for you to locate the charge?
That'll help you identify if you upgraded the correct account.
Give it a go, and let me know what you find.- NotadbfanExplorer | Level 3I have been paying for the account with apple pay and yes, Apple Pay is associated with a different email with no Dropbox account so it is not paying for my real account. How do I rectify?

Hello, I paid 11.99$ to get 2000 GB sapace for a month, and the amount was deducted without being given the space, what is the problem?
- MeganDropbox StaffHey DUAAHAMZAWI, happy Wednesday!
Have you checked to make sure you upgraded the correct Dropbox account instead of creating a new one?
If I were you, I'd use our self-serve look-up tool, in order to have a clear idea which account is linked to the charge.
Let me know what you find.
