can't save files from Office365-app to Dropbox - supposedly write protected

Hello there!

Starting yesterday all of a sudden I can't save files to my Dropbox via the Office 365-app anymore. I get a message telling me that the file is write protected, which it isn't. It tells me to save a copy, when trying to do that I get the same error message.
Up until the day before yesterday everything worked like a charm. I haven't knowingly changed anything about my smartphone's configuration, no new apps etc.
Had anyone ever experienced this issue?
Any ideas on how to solve it?

Either I open it from Dropbox or open it from excel, it doesn same thing. I can't save anymore. But if I use a laptop or pc, no problem at all. I just wish I could attach screenshots here.

And then if you go to settings on excel, there's a big red X right next to Dropbox under "Connected Services". But no matter how many times you connect and disconnect, it could still access Dropbox but unable to save.

Hi @marloweloy, is your device's OS, Excel app and the version of Dropbox you use there, up to date?

They're all latest. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled excel from the play store. My S23 Ultra is auto update as well.

Could you clarify which one of our platforms you use when this happens? I am assuming you're referring to your mobile, am I right on this? 

Provided this is the case, could also clarify the version of the app you use on your mobile, your OS and also send me a screenshot of the error message, that'd be amazing.

Windows word document on my Samsung fold and Samsung S8 ultra.
Never had this problem before.

Hi @Si5, have you tried uninstalling, and re-installing both the Dropbox app and Word on your mobiles? 

Also, does this happen with all of your Word documents, or only some of them?

I have deleted and reinstalled still have the same issue

This is happening to me with the android word app. Whenever I create a file and save it to Dropbox, it opens as read only. I can create a file and save it to my phone documents without any problems. The file will open and allow me to edit. Thx for help.
