Dropbox unstable in iPad OS Files App.

Dropbox unstable in iPad OS Files App.

The problem I have is that Dropbox seems to crash when running on an iPAD via the apple files app. If I open an application that uses the files app, such as Pages or Final Draft, when saving to the Dropbox via the files app, it crashes the app and for the next 4 to 5 minutes if I click on drop box via the files app it just doesn’t load.

Apple has confirmed this is a Dropbox issue (I raised it with them first), and I have not been able to crash the application(s) using Google Drive via files in the same way.

Can anyone help?

Having the same issue: working in Dropbox folders via the Files iOS app (or via share sheet-> save to files) frequently causes files to hang. None of the troubleshooting steps have worked for me yet.

I was just wondering if there was a fix for this yet please? I’m having the same problem. Opening or working with files from Dropbox within the Files app is completely unstable, and crashes after a few seconds.

I challenge you to accomplish the following (easy?) task:

From Lightroom for ipad (or any other app that can export photos using the OS's default share function) upload 20 photos to a Dropbox folder.

I’m disappointed that the iPadOS 16 beta hasn’t resolved the issue, given that Dropbox has decided to blame Apple for it. I’m tired of dealing with the Accessibility settings workaround and will be transferring to another cloud storage provider if this still isn’t fixed in iPadOS 16. Whether or not it’s Apple’s bug, users are caught in the middle.

@Andrew55 what is the accessibility settings workaround? I haven't tried that

Go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Keyboards -> Full Keyboard Access and turn on Full Keyboard Access. You’ll see some annoying behavior, but at least Dropbox won’t crash anymore!

I had it that way already. Files app still freezes accessing Dropbox

It is disappointing this has never been fixed.  Dropbox and Apple just blame each other.  They should be working to0gether to fix this.  What happened to @Megan from dropbox who was helping with this?  All the tickets got closed with no resolution.
