I can't see the top level folder in Adobe after the latest Dropbox team update
Our organization (Dropbox Advanced) recently was migrated to the Dropbox "team space" file system model. I have encountered no unexpected behavior with interacting with my files in macOS Finder or Windows Explorer in the usual way. However, I occasionally will use the Adobe + Dropbox integration to access PDFs in my Dropbox folders directly inside Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader, both in macOS and in Windows. After we were migrated, the Adobe + Dropbox integration (under "Other file storage" in the Acrobat sidebar) only seems to be able to access my personal folder within my Dropbox ("/[FullName]"), not the top level ("/"). Furthermore, the file storage label under "Other file storage" in the Acrobat sidebar is still "Dropbox ([OrgName])" instead of the new "[OrgName] Dropbox" as it it labeled in macOS Finder and Windows Explorer. I have disconnected and reconnected the Adobe + Dropbox integration inside Acrobat in both macOS and Windows, and the behavior is the same; no access to the top level. Acrobat is up to date in all cases. Is this a situation where Adobe has not updated their macOS and Windows Acrobats to accommodate these changes? My iOS Adobe Acrobat works just fine with the team space model, with appropriate and expected access to the top level of files. TIA, Joe
Localwp Dropbox backup connection failed: 500 Server Error
I have been trying to establish backup options for Local from WP Engine with Dropbox. Each time it is unsuccessful (500 Server Error), even though it clearly states all permissions granted when checked under Third Party Apps in Dropbox settings.
Sharing a Dropbox link while using BombBomb tracking...
Hello, I am with BombBomb customer support and this was brought to my attention by a mutual customer. When sending an email from Gmail while using the BombBomb extension, the link is blocked. I have to disable the BombBomb extension or BombBomb extension tracking. Scenario: 1. I am in dropbox and I click on share a folder. It generates a url to share and copies it to the clip board. 2. In the chrome browser, in my gmail, I create a message and "paste" the link into the email. The text of the link shows the correct url. 3. The receiving party opens the email and clicks on the link. The URL is blocked. It is a bixel link in particular that is being blocked. This only happens with a gmail/chrome account that has the BombBomb extension enabled. When the extension is disabled, the link is sent through fine. We have tried multiple other cloud-sharing platforms and sharing links and this does not happen in others so I think it may hopefully just be a simple security or whitelisting situation. I used to have no problem accessing audio files saved to my Dropbox through Transcribe+ iOS app. However, lately when I try to view files I see an (!) icon next to the Dropbox icon in Edit bar, and files in the window are greyed out or show download prompts. Can anyone advise?
Are there any possibilities for reclaim.ai integration?
I am just wondering about possibilities for integration with the reclaim.ai calendaring service that Dropbox acquired a little bit ago. I have kinda poked around on both sites, looking for any sort of integration or plans for steps forward - and so far, nothing found. I can think of a few things, already - I'm sure you guys can too. I'd love a bit of a discount on reclaim.ai services as part of being a dropbox customer - either reduce the rate for the plans, or include some of the features in what we can access with our Dropbox credentials. I think there are a lot of possibilities for making it all work together as part of a unified/unifying product offering... best, --elijah
How can I transfer everything from OneDrive to Dropbox?
Hi everyone, I've been searching and searching a way to transfer all my cloud from Onedrive to Dropbox for a long while now, but I can't find a way to do it other than downloading 1,5TB of data from Onedrive and uploading it to Dropbox manually. Can you please advise me an easier way? I want to get rid of Onedrive entirely and close my account. The weird thing is, In Onedrive, there is an option in my storage page which asks me if I want to transfer anything from Dropbox as well as some other cloud services. It's just one click and takes me to my Dropbox very easily to select what to import from Dropbox, but not visa versa; it doesn't allow me to transfer anything from Onedrive to Dropbox. If one-way integration is possible for Onedrive, why can't I find anything to do it on Dropbox? Thanks a lot for responses in advance.
