Wix Dropbox App going end of life?
Good afternoon, It would appear that Wix has chosen to drop the Dropbox App that allows visibility/access to specific Dropbox folders directly from a Wix site. Are there any alternatives that anyone is aware of that could support a real-time peering between a Wix website and a specific Dropbox folder to upload and download files? Thank you,
Around 500 images created via Arduino IDE were randomly deleted via my mobile app.
So I am trying to understand what has happened, and how to avoid it again (i'm assuming it is something I have done) I'm coding micro controllers for a project of mine (arduino IDE) and have about 100 versions of said program saved in my dropbox. Everytime I create a new version it creates a new directory with about 20 files for the program. All this programing is done on a PC. My phone is also connected to dropbox but only back's up images taken on my phone to dropbox. My issue is that a week ago my phone deleted 5 jpg files repeatedly from each of these 100+ program file directories. All 500ish images ( basicly 5 images representing battery charging indicator repeated in 100 seperate diectories) were deleted in about 2 minutes, so it's not something that could have been done manually in that time. My question is what happened and how do I make sure it doesnt happen again
Dropbox and Boxcryptor - can't access my Thesis files anymore.
Dear Community, I have a serious problem and hope somebody can help me: I am working since month on my diploma thesis, all files for that stored under Dropbox in a directory encrypted with boxcryptor classic, which I made visible as drive "K". Since two days I cannot open any of my files anymore. Word, Excel etc. all tell me, that the documents cannot be read and maybe corrupted. If I try to use Windows explorer to copy one of these files from the boxcryptor drive "K" to any local directory, explorer tells me that he source file or the source drive could not be opened - but it is full visible in explorer and Boxcrypter opens up the encrypypted directory with my password w/o any complains. I have not changed anything in my installation. How can I get access to my files again? I am using boxcryptor classic v 1.3.2 and dropbox client v213.4.4597. I really need your help! Thanks Kathleen
Apps in my iPhone say my Dropbox is empty when I try to attach files
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Hello. This just started occurring yesterday for one of my machines. I have files stored on Dropbox sync'd through filer explorer. When I open the file from dropbox (file explorer), excel quits responding. When I open the same file from my Desktop, Excel works as normal. Dropbox is listed as a connected service in Excel and there have been no issues before yesterday. I have updated office and performed a repair without luck. Any thoughts?Secure and hidden files
It would be a great idea to implement an extra layer of protection to be able to hide certain files or be able to lock them with a set password within the app since I experience multiple users on multiple machines of mine being able to access most of the files. Therefor I would really benefit from a folder I can lock with my personal password and therefor hide sensitive information or files that should not be accessed by other users but me. I would suggest calling it something like Vault or Hidden Files. This could also be done via integration through the apps, let people decide if they want to install the vault feature or not.
Team folders in Power Automate have stopped working after 20/04/2024 upgrade
Since the upgrade to Dropbox on the 20/04/2024 we have encountered a number of issues with apps and programs that utilise Dropbox. Rather than confusing the issue, the first of these relates to Microsoft power automate. The team Dropbox folders that are shared with me and monitored by this program have now disappeared. The only Dropbox folders I can see our my specific folders, and not those that I have access to as part of a team. In my DBL Dropbox desktop folder I have my profile folder and then I have access to all the team folders that I am part of. I can access these on my desktop and online without an issue. The problem I have is that if I am trying to access these team folders through any other software, they are not visible following the upgrade on 20 April? This is causing major issues and I assume that there is a setting that needs to be changed for me and my colleagues? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
