Cannot access any files via "Files" Application of iOS 16

Cannot access any files via "Files" Application of iOS 16

I cannot access any files in my Dropbox, via "files" app in iOS.

I'm using iPadOS 16.3.1 (iPad Pro) and iOS 16.3.1 (iPhone)

My Dropbox version is 316.2 (the latest version)

To be specific,

I have Dropbox icon on my files app and can browse all the hierarchy and files,

but when I click any file in the list, it is not opening and keep saying that

"Couldn't communicate with a helper application. Try your operation again. If that fails, quit and relaunch the application and try again."

So I tried quit and relaunch, and even I did re-install and re-login for Dropbox, but still doesn't work.

Hi @1623990, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you try following steps in order to see if they help?

  1. Disable Dropbox from the Files app from the Locations tab.
  2. If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, sign out of the Dropbox mobile app.
  3. Uninstall the Dropbox mobile app entirely.
  4. Reboot your device
  5. Reinstall the Dropbox app from the App Store

Keep me updated with any progress.

Thanks for your reply, and I tried all the steps you suggested.

However, unfortunately, it is still not working.

FYI, I'm a "Dropbox Plus" subscriber,

and attached a few screenshots of the steps you suggested.

Thanks for the info. At this point, I'd recommend you get in contact with the support team directly for them to investigate this matter further on their end.
