How do I save the email/message that is sent with the signature request file?  I send docs to client with instructions and I wanted to find a way to save the documentation.

Hi there!

You can save the message and recipient email from a signature request by retrieving the values of the message and the signer_email_address properties (within the signatures array) from the response object.

To save the actual documents sent and signed, you can call one of the 3 following endpoints:

Hope this helps!

Thank you for this information!  Not being a very practiced user of DropBox (other than sending signature requests), I am in no way able to understand what your suggesting but will try to figure it out so thank you again.

Any crutch you can toss my way would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If you are sending documents to sign directly from within your Dropbox account, you are able to access the document's information by logging into your Dropbox Sign account. You'll have a better view of all documents sent out for signature there.

Does Dropbox Signature have an address book function or a way to save frequently used signer names and emails? I have agreements that require the same Signers and when I used to use Adobe Sign previously used names/emails would auto-populate when I was adding signers to a document so that I didn't have to always retype them. This doesn't seem to be happening in Dropbox Signatures so wondering if I'm missing this feature. Thanks.

Does Dropbox Signature have an address book function or a way to save frequently used Signer names and emails? I have a frequently used agreement that requires 4 of the same Signers and when I used to use Adobe Sign, as I started to type a name in the "Add Signer" section, my previously used Signer names/emails would auto-populate so that I didn't have to constantly retype them. This doesn't seem to be happening in Dropbox Signatures so wondering if I'm missing this feature. Creating a template document doesn't help because that still requires me to add each of the 4 signers each time I need to send for signatures. Thanks.

Dropbox Signature currently doesn't have an address book function or a way to save frequently used signer names and emails. However, this feature has been requested by users, so it's possible that Dropbox may implement it in the future. In the meantime, you might want to consider using a workaround such as maintaining a document with the frequently used signer names and emails, which you can easily copy and paste when sending out agreements for signatures.
