Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Why doesn't Dropbox have this function "free up space on device" like Ondrive and Google drive.
Dropbox has always been best in sheering files across computers and have backup ready without trouble of conflicts.
But on the phone app it is a bit confusing, your app backup your photos and then you have to delete then by your self from gallery and you don't see any confirmation that this picture has been uploaded or not, unless you scroll in your Dropbox app.
How do you work around this?
Hi @Froskurinn,
Hope you don't mind if I chime in here!
Thanks for the additional context, and with that, I would like to confirm that once the photos have been uploaded to the Dropbox account, deleting them from the phone won't affect the content in Dropbox.
Let me know what you find, or if you need anything else.

Hi @Froskurinn, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Just for confirmation, these other apps provide the ability to delete files from your device after uploading to their cloud services, is this correct?
This will help me to assist further!
