My PC (Desktop) folder

Dropbox created a <<My PC (Desktop)>> folder which I can view all contents of my PC.

Would this affect my storage space?

Can I delete this folder from Dropbox WITHOUT deleting all my files on my PC?

Thanks for your help.

Yes.

No. You likely enabled the backup feature. You'll need to disable it if you no longer want those files to be backed up to your account.

Thanks Rich.

I create a backup folder (the "Backup Folder") on my PC (just in case) and backup a few folders / files to this Backup Folder. I then delete select folders/files from my view in the Dropbox. I checked my PC and my folders and files are intact. Then I proceeded to delete the <<My PC (Desktop)>> folder from Dropbox and remove all files permanently from "Deleted Files" in Dropbox.

Thanks once again.:-)

Hi @Josi7, let's jump right into this!

Can you visit your Backup page online, and check that the feature has been successfully disabled?

Also, when you disabled it, did you choose to keep your content in the folders of your device, or leave it in Dropbox?

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
