Hello,

 

Since today, I can't restore files and folders in the web interface. When I try to restore it, the file or folder disappears from the list and a message tells me that the file has been restored except that when I refresh the page, the file is still in the recycle garbage can.

 

I use Chrome on Windows 10 but I tried on Microsoft Edge and the result is the same. I also deleted the browsing data from Chrome and test in Incognito mode as mentioned in this article: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Delete-edit-and-organize/Restore-files-isn-t-working/m-p/451947

 

I have tried adding a file to different folders in the file tree and sometimes I can restore the file and other times I can't.

 

I don't know if I touched something in the folder tree because I have the impression that it could be a sharing problem, even if I don't share any files with anyone.

I noticed recently that my main folder icon looks like this:

and I wonder if that's where the problem lies.

 

I also heard about the events page that would let me know if a file is being restored or not but I don't know where that is.

I understand that restoring many large files can take time but I tried to restore them about 7 hours ago already!

 

My files will be deleted in less than 2 days. Can you help me?

Are you still having this issue or was it resolved for you?

 

Are all the files in your account showing this behavior, or just particular ones?
