When I select Permanently Delete under Deleted files in the browser interface and enter my correct password and confirm delete, I get a WHATS NEW info pop-up and the delete option closes when that window is closed. Screenshot here:

Could you clear your browser's cache and/or try another browser and let us know if you still get the same results?

I am having this problem. first in safari, cleared cache, didn't work still

Hi @jaijai57, are you part of a Dropbox team? Is the file you're trying to permanently delete in personal or shared folder?
Does this occur for any file you're trying to permanently delete?

how do I provide a screenshot? I don't see an option here for that.
Are you accessing the community from a desktop machine? Are you not able to see the camera icon in the reply box, like below?
