Uploading Issue / ._ files?

When I upload .mp4 files, every file I upload is created with a duplicate file labeled "._C01930.mp4". Randomly started happening, anybody else run into this?

Dropbox doesn't create those files; your operating system does. They're likely already there on your drive, just hidden. They occur when you're storing files on a drive which has a format that doesn't support extended file attributes, so your OS is storing the extra file data in dot underscore files.

Dropbox doesn't care that they're hidden. It can still see them, so it syncs them. Google for "dot underscore file" for more detailed information on what they are, why they're created and how to avoid them.

This happens every time I upload. Is there a way to stop it? Screenshot 2023-09-15 at 10.59.17.png
