The app is stuck syncing after having to re-sync all my files.

Every couple of months I am trying to selectively sync one extra folder or something and then everything gets stuck. I spend about a week trying to sync and then give up and end up basically having to remove 2TB of data from my computer, reinstall a new dropbox and start resyncing 2TB one folder at a time.

As normal I am nearly 10 days into the process of getting back to square one and all my DB is doing is saying 'syncing',...I just can't get anywhere.

I cannot work online since now we have multiple conflicts of all of our main files as a result so I have a big mess to try to sort to try to loose as little data as possible but my working life is just basically stopped whilst waiting and trouble shooting this.

Any ideas how to get it to sync? Everytime there is some different issue. I have tried unselecting everything and also just syncing one folder but everytime I double check with selective sync, it wants to sync everything.

Sorry to see that you're having this issue, @ArcticAnna.

If I understand correctly, your Dropbox app is currently stuck at "syncing".

How many files do you usually keep in your Dropbox folder? Could it be more than 300K?

Can you please try these steps, to see if they help?

Keep me posted.

Hey @ArcticAnna, let me also jump in here!

Would you mind clarifying your device's OS, along with the app's version and syncing status please?

You can find the version of our app that you're currently using by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi.
