Sharing Folders with 'can edit' link but people still need to request access to upload
Hello - I created a Dropbox folder and set the sharing to anyone with the link can edit, but the folder is still making people with the link request access before they can upload anything to the folder. Is there a way to set it up so that anyone with the link can add files to the folder?

Hi there tgreene - welcome to our Community!
Could you please clarify if you're using individual accounts or if you're all part of the same Dropbox team account?
If it's the latter, are you a team member or an admin of the team?
Also, if you could walk me through the exact steps you take to do this, I'd appreciate it. Are you, for example, following these steps?
Thanks!

Hi Walter,
It started as an individual account, but yesterday I upgraded to a team account and I am the admin. I did follow those steps in both my individual account and as the admin of the account and in both cases it was still making the recipient of the link request to join in order to upload a file to the folder.

Hi tgreene, when you send a shared link with a edit privileges, this means that people would have to join the folder in order to edit files.
